Recently, the Bureau of Labor Statistics released both national and state unemployment and jobs data from February. According to the national employment situation report, the national unemployment rate was at 3.6 percent, 0.2 percent increase from January.
Nevada’s unemployment rate remained unchanged in February at 5.5 percent, but based on preliminary data, the state has added about 1,329 new nonfarm jobs between January to February. Some of the largest increases in jobs came from the business, government, health, and education sectors.
