Over the past week, due to rising demand for gas and increased oil costs, gas prices across the country have taken a slight rise. On March 31, the average price per gallon of gas in the US was $3.501 just a few cents higher than prices a week ago. Despite this rise, the average price per gallon today is still over 70 cents per gallon cheaper than prices a year ago.
Here in Nevada, the average price per gallon of gas is $4.221, about 3 cents per gallon more expensive than last month. Even with this slight rise, prices across the state remain over a dollar per gallon cheaper than last year.
