Over the past week, due to rising demand for gas and increased oil costs, gas prices across the country have taken a slight rise. On March 31, the average price per gallon of gas in the US was $3.501 just a few cents higher than prices a week ago. Despite this rise, the average price per gallon today is still over 70 cents per gallon cheaper than prices a year ago.

Here in Nevada, the average price per gallon of gas is $4.221, about 3 cents per gallon more expensive than last month. Even with this slight rise, prices across the state remain over a dollar per gallon cheaper than last year.

Report: NV fares well with transgender rights

“Nevada is the only state that has a constitutional protection against discrimination, on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity,” said Redfield. “There is an extraordinarily broad protection for LGBTQ people in Nevada, and that is probably why Nevada didn’t show up on any of our lists this year.”
