Together with its food and beverage partner, Sodexo Live!, the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) successfully carried out one of its initiatives known as “The Big Soup Donation” this week. A total amount of 150 gallons of chicken noodle soup was donated to Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada, with the goal of feeding more than 1,800 people over the course of two days.
The staff of the convention center’s kitchens prepared the soups in oversized vats using fresh ingredients. To make the demand met, the total ingredients included 100 lbs of diced chicken, 100 lbs of egg noodles, 75 lbs of diced celery, 75 lbs of diced onion, and 60 lbs of diced carrots.
